Description
From developer and publisher Vaclav Hudec comes Blameless, an indie horror-adventure game released October 13, 2016. In this game, you play as a freelance exterior designer who is attacked and kidnapped, and must find your way out of your place of capture. When I first downloaded this, I wasn't expecting much from it. It was an indie horror game, it had four achievements, and it just didn't seem like it was going to be a decent game. After finding that the YouTuber Markiplier had played it, I decided that I would give it a go, and went ahead to download it and give it a play. The only problem I had was that each time I quit the game, I had to uninstall and redownload it to open my previous save and get into the game again. I have knocked a star off for this, because it was really a lot of work that shouldn't have needed to be done. I don't know if anyone else had problems like this, or if it was just my laptop (which is getting relatively old), but it was so much work and it was really infuriating to have to wait for it to redownload every single time I wanted to play it. The one problem that I had aside, this game is beautiful. It's a really well done and well made game. The controls are easy enough to grasp, and although things can seem a little confusing at first, and there's a lot of "what do I do now, where do I go" that goes on, you really get into it and things start to click a lot quicker. The ending was brilliant. It really took me by surprise and Hudec definitely gave this a really unique twist. I was gobsmacked. A really, really well done ending. For an indie horror game, this is really, really well done and I thoroughly enjoyed playing it. I'd definitely recommend this for horror lovers, achievement hunters (three of the four achievements are picked up progressing through the game) and people who love indie games as well.
