Gimmick is a 2D side-scrolling platformer developed and published by Sun Electronics. Players control a small green youkai named Yumetaro (Mr. Gimmick) who was mistaken as a toy and was given to a young girl for her birthday. When the other toys become jealous of him, they come to life and kidnap the owner, leaving Yumetaro to venture through the alternate dimension to rescue her.
