The game was released in Japan in two versions: an 'Original' version which included just the game itself and a 'Overseas Edition' which includes a guidebook with full color artwork and a bonus Blu-Ray DVD of the International English dub of Megazone 23 Part II: Please Give Me Your Secret (1986). This has the original Harmony Gold English dub voice actors and the alternate ending for Robotech: The Movie (1986).
