This video game was originally developed for the Japanese market as "Roger Rabbit," with Roger having to collect hearts in order to rescue Jessica while avoiding the roaming gorilla bouncer and the Weasels. While Kemco held the rights to make video games for the NES using Disney characters in Japan, those rights in the US were already held by Capcom. In order to release the game internationally, Kemco secured the rights to the Looney Tunes characters and tweaked the graphics and plot to create a Bugs Bunny game in place of a Roger Rabbit game.
