Very good documentary on the reactionary and anti-democratic propaganda films supporting eventual military coup in Brazil. Those supposed newsreel films that boosted the fear of the communists, the support for democratic breakdown and the acquiescence of capitalist interests continued and even become more numerous under military rule, but it is interesting to know that at least 15 of those films happened still under (and against) João Goulart democratic government. The film is very informative and brings very good testimonies and hidden elements to unveil the decisive support of businessmen and famous communication professionals. The probable central role of important police novel writer Rubem Fonseca in making those films is certainly one of the most intriguing information.
