Storyline
The music video for "Rainier Fog" pays tribute to Seattle and its culture. The giant beer bottles with legs were inspired by the TV commercials for the Rainier Beer, which were very popular in the Pacific Northwest and aired in the 70s, 80s and 90s. The Mount Rainier in Washington inspired the title of the song and album of the same name. Jerry Cantrell's green goatee is a reference to his look on the music video for Alice In Chains' 1992 single "Them Bones". The plaid flannel shirt is commonly worn by Seatte natives and became popular worldwide during the explosion of the Grunge movement in the early 90s. Cantrell also used to wear long johns under Bermuda shorts in the 90s. The random Bigfoot/Sasquatch appearances in the video is because about one-third of all claims of Bigfoot sightings come from the Washington state.
