Timbuk3 perform in the music video "The Future's So Bright, I Gotta Wear Shades" from the album "Greetings from Timbuk3" recorded for I.R.S. Records. The band sings and play their instruments outside of a mobile camper while simple computer generated images sing along with the song. The song itself is satirical and takes a look at the looming threat of nuclear holocaust in President Reagan's materialistic late Cold War era from the viewpoint of a self-centered future nuclear scientist who's about to graduate and is looking forward to his lucrative "bright" future in a double entendre way.
