Writer and Director, his professional career began in 2001 directing the short film “Los Pocillos”. He continued working on short films until 2009 when his short film “Ataque de Pánico” caught the attention of Ghost House Pictures who made a deal with Alvarez to direct the “Evil Dead” remake. With it’s sucess, Alvarez was offered many more oppertunites including directing “Don’t Breath” in 2016 and “Alien: Romulus” in 2024.
