Following their Season One investigation into the unexplained disappearance of an Indigenous mother in Montana, the second season of Gimlet’s Stolen sees investigative journalist Connie Walker uncover her family’s traumatic history within the Canadian residential school system. The series centers around an encounter between Walker’s father, an officer in the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and a suspected drunk driver whom Walker’s father quickly recognizes as a residential school priest from his past.
