About
I will admit this held my attention and was entertaining, but calling it a docuseries or journalistic would be a stretch. There was very little investigative journalism happening here- no new details and no real examination of the case. In fact, certain episodes were enactments based on the writer/narrator's imagination of what Tommy must have been thinking and feeling. There are definite questions about what actually happened, especially about whether it would even be physically possible for Tommy to have killed himself in the way described. I kept expecting an interview with the coroner or at least a delving into the coroner's report by forensic experts who would weigh in on this aspect. There was no follow-up with the surviving husband/father. I expected more information about the actual investigation- and I was expecting facts, not the abundance of time and attention to Satanism, the occult, and demonic possession. True, verifiable facts. Not church and Geraldo Rivera fantasy.
