The name There Might Be Cupcakes was inspired by Carla's friend comedian Greg Behrendt's comedy routine "There Might Be Cake". He talks about how if you get out there, and do the dame thing, you might be near cake, and there might be some for you. Carla has a list of reasons on her website why cupcakes are even better, including that they are equitable (all the same size!), involve sprinkles, and more portable. Cupcakes are a metaphor in her podcast for finding the good in the difficult.
