Story line
The television series caused a legal battle between the novelist Sax Rohmer (the creator of Fu Manchu and his supporting cast) and the film studio Republic Pictures (parent company of the television company Hollywood Television Service which produced the series). This resulted in the premature cancellation of the series, after the production of only 13 episodes.
