This series really took me by surprise. The plot sounded a little cheesy and overdone, but this series managed to pull it off really well. It didn't escape the corniness, but in my opinion, it was corny and cheesy in the best ways possible! The characters were really likeable and the acting was decent as well. Chinese dramas tend to drag a lot, but I didn't feel that with this one. The pacing was perfect and there were interesting twists and turns to keep you interested. My only critiques are the background music and the ending. The background music could have been more diverse, sometimes it felt like they were just recycling the same 3 songs for 26 episodes. I really liked the ending up until the last 10 minutes. In my opinion, the "twist" at the end was unnecessary and didn't add much to the story.
