It did take it's time to warm up - but so far I've been very impressed with the performance and writing. First episode takes it time to build the environment and the from the 2nd episode, it just kicks on. The language is spot on and the writing from Hynes is damn good and I can see it getting better as series progresses. The only complaint I have is with the overtly sexual nan character, which gets on your nerves a bit. Other than that, this sitcom is highly enjoyable, despite being slow paced. The performances itself makes it worth a watch. Glad to see a good sitcom after quite a while now - even if it doesn't make you laugh-out-loud, it's much better than most of the crap that's been dished out in Britcom circles these days.
