Babe Ruth, who has moved on from his baseball playing days but will still regale others with stories if asked, meets up with songwriters Byron Gay and Zez Confrey at an isolated cabin where they can work in peace, they who are trying to write a song for an upcoming radio broadcast. Babe gives them the idea that they should write a baseball themed song called "Home Run on the Keys", which they love and on which they will use his expertise. The song is then performed on the radio broadcast against a montage of baseball moving images.
