Despite Michael J. Fox reprises his role last seen theatrically in Back to the Future Part III (1990), effectively he was absent from it for mere five years, since he appeared as Marty McFly in live-action on Michael J. Fox/Sen. Bernie Sanders/Big Grams (2015) as well as in voice performances heard in Lego Dimensions (2015) and Back to the Future: The Game - 30th Anniversary Edition (2015).
