I was not expecting a lot going into this. But this show managed to surprise and delight me. It's a very good mystery/paranormal show that deals not only with ghosts but with many other elements of South African folklore. The writing is surprisingly good. It's not perfect nor is it flawless, but it is good. I especially liked that it managed to keep 1 story arc going for the entire season and at the same time have the "monster of the week" format going. This show is smarter than you think. I was actually fooled a little bit by the first 2-3 episodes. My advice would be to keep watching before you make up your mind if this is good or bad. The acting could have been a little bit better. The directors did a good job getting good performances out of the main character, but some of the supporting cast could have done better. And again, you have to understand what this is. It's a low budget horror television show. It's not a big budget movie. Not every episode is going to be amazing. But enough of them are that I would recommend this show to anybody who likes supernatural themed entertainment.
