It began with a very interesting premise murder mystery that's almost like Sherlock/ Knives Out. However, it didn't take long to lose all footing. If you're looking for mindless crime show with flaws, go for it, but there are much better shows out there. The writing tries to be witty but turns out a bit cringe instead. The dialogue is pretty bland as characters just confess what happens right when confronted. Characters aren't developed and remain very on the surface. Set dec and art seemed to be an after thought. This is suppose to be set in 1920s Shanghai but if you look at the signs in the background you can see words like "vector illustration designs" that doesn't match the time period. As well as some medical technology that hasn't yet been developed yet. I always try to suspend my sense of belief when it comes to shows but this show seem to just do whatever when it comes to background. If we look at Sherlock Holmes, Murdoch Mysteries or Agatha Christie's Poirot, they make an effort to keep to what actually existed in the time and let the detective take time piecing things together This could have been much better but huge disappointment.
